Want a tip from someone who has worked in a body shop and was pretty good with a hammer and dolly? Work the dent out in the reverse order that the damage occurred. As the metal is damaged, it creates what are called "locks" which hold the material in its deformed state. Unlocking the metal from the last lock to the first, its possible to almost completely remove the damage on minor dents, aside from some of the metal stretching that occurs during the creation of the dent. Doing them out of order will diminish the result, sometimes considerably.

As for the ding king, I don't see why it wouldn't work, just work slow, make multiple passes, and again, work the dent out in the reverse order that it was created.

Regards, ...Scott
