Default What should I Ask for my 968?

Hey guys I have a 1992 Porsche 968 Tiptronic with 138,000kms (bout 88,000 miles) on it but I have fallen into financial difficulties and need to sell. It has 1/2 leather seats and is in good shape with no problems. I attached 2 poor pics (I'll get some new ones up when I have the time), the car has a clean title but is imported from Europe. I have been looking around and it seems like $12,500 CDN is fair what do you think? I live on the West Coast of British Columbia and there are none for sale in the area to compare to.

You're going to get a rash of **** for not being a member. Are you also a car dealer? No plates... lot full of cars...

I'll give you $6k for it. VoodooGTX will only give you $3.50.

To me, Tiptronic means it's a girl's car. Maybe add a little flower holder like the new VW Bugs have to add value.

Tip, blue interior, and probably can't be registered in US.

Good luck on that one. In this economy and your limited potential market, if you really NEED the money now, I'm afraid you're probably looking at $6-8k.

yeah with teh writing on teh winshield and in the lot that looks like a car dealership lol.

there are actually a couple 968s in craiglist in the vancouver canada area right now I've seen them listed for 12-25,000 here but usually 13-16,000.

prices are probably much cheaper in the U.S. you have to consider a 944 na usually goes for 3-6k here depending on condition.

12,000 seems like a fair price in vancouver area but that depends if the car is actually in good condition with maintenance history etc.

oh forgot to mention if you want to sell it fast you probably have to list it lower than that. I don't think 968s sell to fast. doubt many people even know what a 968 is.

I like the color as well. Don't know if I have seen a 968 with Porsche Script seats. For that matter, I don't know if I've ever seen bue Porsche Script seats.

Its a shame its a euro import... you'll have a heck of a time getting it registered in the US. Between that and the tip, you are pretty well had, I think. I'd be very tempted (depending on price) but I need a car I can put a plate on.

I believe that is cobalt blue, isn't it?

I'm going to guess this is a Japanese car. If the rear brake lights have a white section, it's actually japanese. Nothing wrong with that at all, really. It is exportable to the US, but the paperwork is a pain in the *** for americans - although the dollar is in their favour again.

I think $12,500 is a fair price. Toddzilla just bought a local red, tiptronic, japanese car, 1992, twin to yours, basically, and he paid about $12, I think.

I have a couple of local 968 buyers, but they are looking for 6spds, IIRC.
