Fuchs rims
I just bought some Fuchs rims for my 944 na. they are 15 x 7 front & 15 x 8 rear. There's no tire place in this town that can tell me what to put on them. They seem confused 'cause there is a wider tire on back. they tell me tire manufactures arent making many performance tires in 15's.
Is there someone out there running the same size tires? I'm looking for a good tire. Something with a nice tread also. I don't need wintedr tires here in Texas.
I wanted some B.F. Goodrich G-force t/a kdw
Any suggestions?

I have the Ultra high performance summer tires by Yokahama and like them.
Fronts: 215/60/15 Rears: 225/50/15; Tirerack about $100 each
Nice aggresive thread pattern, strong sidewall ridge, good dry handling, long wear, only negative is they are a little noisy.

Be warned that "tire stores" are totally blown away by staggered wheels and they will do dumb stuff like:
a) put the small tires on the big wheels and vice versa
b) put the big wheels in the front of the car
c) put both of the big wheels on one side of the car
And the es100s are good but turn hard after a couple of years. I got a happy 12k miles + lots of autocross out of mine. You could go even lower profile than listed above; 225/50/15 will fit on the 7" wide wheel, so you could go 245/45/15 in the back. Just remember to give detailed instructions to the tire store because the wheels are worth more than the car and you don't want them to mess them up!
Also I wouldn't let them mount/unmount the wheels if you can do it yourself. They will use impact wrenches, which in the porsche shop manuals it explicitly says not to do because it will shatter the aluminum lug nuts. Otherwise you need to stand there and watch them do it to ensure they don't break something.

The wheels are 7's and 8's, but for best track performance 225/50 R15 on all corners. For a more stock look 215/60 R15 were stock on these. Note the 215/60 is 1" taller than a 225/50.

I originally had 215/225 staggered but swapped the front set to 225 six months ago on advise here - completely forget, had to go out and look again.

+1 on 225's all around. FWIW, my bud's 951S DE/Hill Climb car is best handling 944 I've ever seen and it rides on 245's all around on Club Sport 16 x 9's. Inside front wheel/tire clearance is no problem with Paragon adjustable perch fronts.

i have BFG g-force Sports on all corners of my car (15x7F, 15x8R) and they work great. they are 225 width all around but they are 60s in back and 50s in front. they stick like no other tire ive driven with lol. we liked them so much we got a full set of them also put on our infiniti.

I had a bad experience with the g-force sports on my BMW- the centers wore out in a hurry, which is saying a lot because at the time I didn't even know how to turn the traction control off and the car is only 180hp. They were run at the advised pressure but apparently it was too much.
Just curious why not to run a 245 on the back with the 8" wide wheel? My autocross setup is 225/50/16F and 245/45/16 R (don't quote me on the middle numbers) on 16 x 7/8 phonies and that's with the race tire size of "245" which is really closer to 265 in reality. I am kinda speculative of the 9" wide wheel in the front, though. My front tires will rub on the inside against the brake line bracket and fender well, and that's on 225 tires on a 7" wheel.
