245/50-15 R6 is what I have been running this year on my frankencar. Great tire and the extra height helps me with my short gearing.

Why would you put the same size tire on different width wheels?

As I understand it, 9" fronts with 245's requires use of Club Sport "9 rear wheels, 88 and up M030 front hubs and things are still perilously tight to the inside with OE strut and shocks. Using the narrower Paragon adjustable perch strut units helps relieve the worst of the inside rub potential.
