Default Ebay 951: looks fishy to me

37,000 miles, nice paint, but wear and tear suggests the odometer had been broken for a while...

Opinions?

Default re: I agree

I agree car looks good but wear on the seats and body is what you would
expect to see on a car with 60-100k miles on it..

I personally checked out a car recently in San Francisco had 37k miles on it
There was no wear on the driver seat at all..The stone guards where flawless.
These cars are not cheaply made. it takes a lot of getting in and out of the
seats to start to see the wear pictured.

gorgeous car. i think its legit. could be really hot in that area which would wear out the hood liner and seats easier. also if its really dry the leather would crack easier.

or the woman could be enormous.

If it has been sitting in a garage owned by a older woman, why does it have a lindsey boost enhancer on it, which would have been a fairly recent modification. Also the delamination on the rear hatch suggests it has been sitting in the sun. And the rock guards as pointed out. It doesn't look like a 120k mile car, but it doesn't look like a 30k mile car either.

thats what i thought it was. does it just affect the fuel metering related to boost/vacuum?

Not sure of the function, their site says "delivers boost sooner", so maybe allows bleed off under partial boost situation, but closes under full boost. This would allow the compressor to spin with less resistance under a partial boost situation.

My TT Quattro has a bleed off valve that does much the same thing combined with a blow off "recirculation" valve, it has a vacuum attachment that allows it to partial open under low boost high vacuum and recirculates the boost back to the intake, under low vacuum boost the valve is closed until the boost pops the spring and dumps back to the intake.....

Collin, I am with on this one.

A car w/ 37k does not have seats/interior that looks this bad, new LR boost enhancer, and a rusted exhaust system.

edit**I just realized the seller is a car dealer...nevermind.

I have seen this car in person and looked over the paperwork. Although not as pristine as some, it is legit. Only 37K original miles. It is owned by a Porsche shop owner here in town. Darn nice guy and a darn nice car!
Seller is not a car dealer.

the exhaust tip on my 49k mile 951 is rusted to smithereens.

the seats are sport seats so expect more wear. they look no better or worse than the seats on my 49k mile 89 951. it looks legit.

the foam on the hood of a low mileage 86 NA i looked at five years ago was crumbling too. thats normal.
