968 brake cooling scoops or hold out for the real deal?
#16
I did my scoops Saturday. Uppers were a breeze b/c Bilstein Escort Cup struts have the mounting plate to accept the scoops. Loweres needed fabrication of a bracket. My first effort was visually fine, but the steel plate I used was too thin, so the scoop was too floppy. I'll cut the next set out of heavier plating. This is about a bajillion times easier (not to mention cheaper) than running ducts. And now my car is like 0.04% a 968.
PS: I hacked the tops of my dust shields off. Why? I'm lazy. My hacking method was not consistent with Porsche Certified Technician Standards.
