Smile 85.5 Climate Control - Air blows with fan off and recirc on?

Okay. So it appears everything is working as it should in terms of switches, blowers, and vents! Yay!

However, with recirc on, and the fan on zero, I still get movement of air coming through the vents when the car is standing still.

If I take recirc off, I get more air as I drive faster, which is normal of course.

Why would I get air movement when idle, with recirc closed? Of course, if I put the vents to floor and windshield, I barely feel anything, but there is air coming out there now, instead.

Thoughts?

It's not just that recirc just not closing the outside vents all the way... because even with the car not running, when I turn the key to on (and climate control powers up), if I put my hand in front of the vent, and have it set to front/face vents, I feel air, and hear the little motor too...

What should I check first?

[My novice thoughts tell me it's something with a relay/controller is either not turning off the fan all the way, or something like that. Now I DO have all 4 fan speed options (1,2,3,4 are all different), so it's not just the **** put back on incorrectly by PO... will double check though.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your problem, but everything sounds OK to me. On recirc, the fan turns on to its lowest setting because it's closed off to outside air and no air would move in the car unless a fan was on.

At least that's what my car does.

Waaa? This is normal? What if you want 'no air' blowing?

If it's normal, then, YAY!!

Can some one confirm? I guess I can turn recirc OFF and have the car still not 'running' and see if I get 'nothing'. Nice!

From a fan that's blowing... interesting!

Too bad my clutch hydrolics went to pot this morning.
