Hi all,
This last June I had a rather traumatic evening, when a drunk young man in his mother's brand new Ford Mustang totaled my 85/2 944NA. He hit it tire to tire, his passenger side front to my driver side rear. My 944 was parked in front of my house. Turned out it was grad night, go figure. The insurance company wrote it off for 6700$CDN. Denial was followed by depression then dejected resignation. I contemplated first Mini, then Audi A3. I dragged it out for four months till my wife got sick of my moping and relented in her ban on Porsche. Today I bought a black on black 1987 951. Paid 5K CDN for it. The interior is a bit of a basket case but the engine is sound and it has some interesting parts (M030?) really clean Cup1 rims with nice Yokohama's and a Borla muffler. Haven't had time to do a complete inventory. It has a rebuilt title from a front ender which I will check out thoroughly ,but so what, it ain't for sale anymore. I drove it two days ago and could not stop thinking about it. I hadn't ever driven a turbo before. What a shock. Had to have it. Now I do.

Rod,
Welcome to the 951 club. I had an '86 N/A and then I got a 951. The 944 is now sold and I crave driving my 951. Winter is going to be soooo hard... Fortunately, there are car projects planned![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Wish I was in Vancouver and could drive the car 12 months of the year...

How does a 951 compare with a 968? I've never driven one. Not sure how so many people can live in a place where you have to live a different life in the winter. I've never lived any further north than TN and just take everything for granted I guess. I can play golf most anything I feel like doing year round. When I read this post about not driving your car in winter it just occurred to me what it must be like for the first time.
