Ok, here's the deal - I'm going to be at Athens Pizza from 9:00 till 9:30am ~ if there's noone else there (or noone else that wants/can drive), I'm not going to make the drive up 400 (unless I know there's more than Mike waiting up there). Mike has my cell phone number and I asked him to give me a call at 9:20am ~ please post here either tonight (I'll check it last thing before leaving) or tomorrow to verify you'll be meeting up at the end of 400/Toosies Waystation.

Again, FRS/GMRS radios too.. I'm bringing mine along for the lead/tail. See those of you who can make it tomorrow.... (or maybe Sunday, depending).

Just talked with Brian. We're cancelling for today, and moving it to tomorrow. Only 3 of us would have been driving today. Hopefully we can get more involved for Sunday.

If you can make it Sunday, please post back so that we'll have an idea of the expected turnout.

Take care, and I'll see you guys tomorrow.

Well although it kinda sucks that the date has had to bump back so many times the good news is I may very well be able to make it tomorrow. I'm going out to my car right now to work on it untill A)It gets too late aka ~4am or B) she starts running.

wish me luck,
John

Hey, it looks like I'm going to be able to go tomorrow. So if everyone wants to PM their phone numbers to me or Brian (since he seems to be taking the lead on this) we can finish coordinating this.

John

PS. Brian I PM'd my cell number to you call me up when you get it would ya?

Guys, last minute changes on my schedule will prevent me from attending.

Hope you have a good time, and be safe.

hrm... looks like No one is going? Talk about a fizzle out and die event.

Josh, Lets start planning what we talked about briefly yesterday morning so we can make sure that actually happens. Like the 16~17, 23~24th of next month maybe? (No holidays, nothing really keeping people except maybe the start of school near the end of the month).

Well I'm game. My vote is for the 23-24th but I can prob go on the 16-17.

While I'm talking to abunch of atlantinians. Does anyone have an old fuel injector or a fuel injector reseal kit. I need the o-ring and spacer so that I can install my Fuel Pressure Regulator. I will pay for the part, I just really need it because it is the only thing stopping me from starting my car tonight.

Thanks,
John

LOL.. whoa folks. This was just something Josh sorta mentioned - I'm NOT planning anything or trying to get him to obligate his place... We just sorta thought 4~6 weeks out from now to plan a day/weekend. Do a short ride, I've been thinking about setting up a shortish (hour long) rally, some BBQ (I make a MEAN jerk sauce for chicken/steaks), and just a good day/weekend. If someone else has room for maybe 16 cars and 30 people, and doesn't mind offering up the space ~ then speak up.

I think we need to talk with Dan of 944fest fame to see what all he does to make the event go smoothly, maybe get a guestimate on costs and start some funds collecting (I'd guess $20/person to cover all the consumables like food, plates and non-alcoholic drinks and a little to whoever donates the space for hassle/minor clean-up compensation).

Thoughts? Josh, jump in here sometime... :P You're the one who mentioned it first... lol.

Hey guys I would be game for Aug the 23rd for sure. (Barring anything out of the ordinary). If I lived a little closer I would donate my house to meet up at and possibly grill or whatever. If anyone wants to drive this far we can possiby plan it up. I can call the local PCA chapter and see if they would like to get involved. Those guys could give me some good places to drive. Plus My wife runs a restaurant and IF I got some funds and confirmations she would cater.

Hey Brad shoot me an email I lost yours in the process of reformatting my HD.

Hey Guys - What I've been thinking is a Saturday or Sunday grilled out lunch followed by a couple of events and hosted at my house. I live in downtown Norcross. I've got the room for probably about 15 -20 cars. I am thinking we could do a real laid back cleanest car competition and then maybe a half hour/hour long rally and or a photo op. We could do an rc car autocross in the garage too - buy a couple of cheap cars at Toys R Us and set up a course

Probably - everyone would have to bring a drink or chips or dessert and a few bucks to cover the BBQ or hotdogs/hamburgers. As it would all have to be outdoors - we would have to watch the weather.

This way if all you could do is show up for lunch it would still be a lot of fun.

Aug 23 or 24 would work fine for me - I wonder if it would be a little cooler by then!

Check with the other post about an Atlanta meet up/ get together. It's probably back on like page 2 or 3 now, but the meet up is at Josh B's house, on the 23rd (Sat.).
