Dudes, on the way back from 944 fest, we found a road in dahlonega... the sign before the road says "Dangerous grades and curves Next 33 miles"!!!!!!
This is up 400 to GA60.
This road was very very nice, 3rd gear for 45 mins +
Anyway, we need to do a drive
I'm still pumped from the 'fest

Brad, not to be OT, but how long did your drive back from the Fest take you? I saw that you had gone, and was very, very jealous!
If the weekend of the 13th isn't going to work for most folks, then let's change it. I'd love to have another get-together/drive.

ga 180 between Suches (on 60) and 19/129.
19/129 (almost antwhere between 76 and Dahlonega)
348 between 180 (headed towards Brasstown Bald) and Alt 75
197 between Batesville and 76
Anywhwere along 28 out east of Clayton
and for the guys in the NW corner of the state (getting over to meet up for a GA drive), take 76 out of Dalton/Chatsworth to Ellijay.
If we're going to meet up in Dahlonega for a drive, I suggest we meet a Tooseys Waystation right at the end of 400 on the right hand side. Those who want some corners coming up from Atlanta can jump over to 9 at the 369 junction (first stoplight heading north, turn left and then right at the next stoplight). Leads right into Dahlonega with easy access back to 400 but has some nice twisties aswell.
These are all the major motorcycling roads in the northern part of the state that are full of twisties. The 60/180/129 'loop' (forms a triangle) is typically pretty busy on the weekends with sportbike riders ~ and not the kind that'll wait patientally for cars. No matter that we can outperform any sportbike on the road, they'll try to pass/keep up and will most likely crash so I'd really like to try and get through that section quickly if we do go up there.

Also stopped on the way back.

I also did the dragon, check out a map here:

BTW, the 13th sounds good to me, anyone else?

The Dragon is a good road to hit durring non-peak hours (daylight on the weekends). 318 corners in 11 miles is a LOT of work though...
What time are we looking to get together? I've invited some Mini (classic) drivers aswell since that's going to be my next car. Apparently there's also a drive on the 12th going to Warner Robins Aviation Museum (trying to get the details of when and where the departure is). Looks to be Minis, 356s, and other various sports cars. I'll probably be doing that aswell depending on the time.

I hope they don't leave that car there long...won't be pretty.
The 13th or 19th is OK with me too.
