Post Fast & Furious Question (no P-car content)

Reading the posts on double clutching reminded me of a ?? from TFATF. Anyone have a clue why that section of floorpan blew outta that Eclipse while racing????

that is anothe movie question mark, but the floor was held in with purple rivets, that is some cool custom work (I really wish you could hear the sarcasm in my voice).

I will point out that there are a couple of things I really like about the movie and those couple things are the Silvia and Skyline. Yes it is a real skyline and the silvia is running an S20 motor (2.0L turbo). The Supra is ok, but the other two are really rare and should be respected.

They could have done the movie much better, but they were not playing to an educated car crowd.

Haven't seen the movie; waiting for it make cable... but missed shifts at high revs have been known to cause flywheel explosions... <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" /> Dunno if that's the case here or not.

If you have no clue about cars at all, that movie was very realistic and fun! I must admit that I had some "wows!" but, mostly "haha, thats not right!"

And why didn't they engage the nitrous earlier? then there would't be a photo finish.

Speaking of TFATF, there is a red Mustang (not even a GT) running around the Sewickly area with those idiotic "muscle arm" graphics down the side, with a nice neon green windshield stripe to match. The best thing about that movie(besides the girls)was the Dodge Charger.

Well the roof scoops I can explain, well at least give a little bit of background. They have become more popular to emulate the look of rally cars. Why they put these on eclipses I don't know.

Umm yeah the 700 hp running with the 355 Ferrari, yeah right. But the guy driving the ferrari was the director of the movie, at least he has good taste in cars.

The Ferrari wouldn't have stood a chance... oh well.. The other thing about the floor falling out, is when it flew out how many people did this 2x2 sheet of what looked like Diamond plate kill? any guesses; I'd say two..
