I am so excited!! I've just learned it is possible to hit 160 in a 944. From what I understand you just install oversize injectors, oversize throttle body, adjustable FPR, performance spark plug wires, and some BBK stainless exhaust.

This is great news. I wonder if I can hit 180 with the boost in my turbo? There is more info at this link.....

You run out of gear at 137. But yeah I think some people have gotten there. (not me though)

theres still plenty of gear left, its just that the engine cant push any harder against the oncoming air there just isnt enough horsepower

a stock 944 NA with stock-sized tires theoretically should be able to do 170 before redlining in 5th gear. i did some math and youd need around 300HP to get there without changing any aerodynamics (this is why the new 911 with 325HP, even though it is more aerodynamic than a 944, will still top out around 175). thats another thing this guy doesnt get, the weight of the stereo equipment doesnt mean a damn thing about top speed. it might take a little longer to get to 140 but the car can do it with or without your akon/lil wayne blasting
