New Product: Don't buy another oem fog light lens
If like me you are fed-up of replacing your fog light lenses it seams like every year due to road rash, chips, cracks, etc. Also the lenses were $80 each and the whole light assembly was only $110 each, so it didn't seem that buying just the lenses offered much of a saving.
There is now a solution.
Performance Products have two new products out that offer an economical replacement at $50/pr. A bonus is that they are made of UV stabilized Lexan. Another bonus is that they are available in a fog light style or a clear Euro driving light style. Final bonus is that they are a sponsor on Rennlist! Well done PP! Full Details

As long as they are aimed/adjusted correctly I don't see a problem, but I am no expert in the differing inspection laws from state to state and there is no inspection here in FL.
You can buy the glass oem ones that are bonded to a plastic trim piece that fits over the reflector assembly. It's the glass that always breaks or gets road rash because of the low fittment of these fogs. To fit these Lexan replacements you have to remove the glass from the plastic trim and bond the Lexan in place.

Wow, very nice! And to think I just "scored" a nice fog light at the junkyard for $30.
But, I didn't think the lens comes off the housing. I mean, you could shatter it and pry out the glass chips, or does the lens come off easily and I never noticed?

I tried on an old lens. The lens comes out quite easily with a little scoring and prying around the plastic trim. I am sure PP will help out with the right adhesive to use.
