So I stripped the distributor rotor screw. it was replaced before because it was not an 1/8 hex key. I tried the 3mm and sure enough i take one turn and I am not going anywhere. What should I do from here?

The rotor is made of Bakelight. You can smash it to bits. Just don't mess up the 'hub' sleeve it rides on. Once the rotor is destroyed, the metal ring will still be attached. I had to use frickin' vise grips on it (so tight it mis-shaped the head of the 1/8'' screw), and then the damn metal body was loc-tited to the hub. Had twist it off with a screw driver (no heat source near by). then I spent 30 min 600 grit sanding the hub because I galled it up so bad I couldn't slide the new rotor down...
=( thanks PO!!!

I did this a couple of weeks ago. Break it with a hammer and chisel. Just don't gash into the metal underneath. You can then simply use some vice grips to back the stripped allen head screw out.

same here the rotor is brittle. You only need to break the part behind the screw. Then u can slide the rotor off exposing the screw head. If u have a torch gently heat the screw to soften the loctite and grab it with a pair of vise grips.

If it keeps giving you trouble there is a bolt that holds the rotor to the camshaft. You remove it to gain access to the cam gear bolt, but you can also remove the rotor with it so you can work on it easier.
