Default Some idiot caught my poor car...

Now the front left wing is deeply gauged out. I have tried to t cut it and that cleared all white paint from my fathers car which clipped it.

I guess I will need a new panel? I don't even know what the colour of my car is. I am pretty sure it is stone grey metallic but thats a guess.

Maybe its a bad reflection but I don't see that much damage besides a big scuff.

My wife reversed her X5 into my silver 944, I was so upset, she thought it wise to flee the scene of her crime and send me a sms, BUT I never called her an idiot?

People make mistakes, so do we, an idiot is someone who hit a st anger's car and drive off without facing the consequences.

That's not much of a hit. Looks to be bowed in, and that might not really come out without some bondo work, but it's just a fender, and comes off in under 10 minutes if you want to replace it completely.

THIS, is a properly backed-into car:

you want to replace the panel for a scuff? get some rubbing compound and wipe it off!

I don't think it's just a scuff. It looks like it's cupped in here:

Default not so bad

What's the problem? The picture doesn't look so bad. As long as the dent doesn't have any sharp edges a good paintless dent repairman should be able to get it back to form.

I was very annoyed when I posted, so perhaps I used some words I shouldnt.

Some of the gouges are about 1/4 inch deep, although the photograph doesn't show that over well.. Apparantly it needs filler and respraying.

Im annoyed because if it was in the way, he could have asked me to move it, instead of driving into it.

i bumped out a football sized dent on my friends 944 in the same exact spot and used minimal bondo and it looked fine. thats a bad pic i think to show anything that looks serious, because i would just grab a buffer and some 3m compound and go at it

You are lucky - it was my friends father that reversed into my car. While I had my hand on the horn, and couldn't back up the steep drive in time to escape!

With mine the damage was much worse as the dent was more of a crumple, but it's as good as new now. Insurance is great. Especially other peoples...

It really doesn't look bad. If you can get a new fender (wing), and have it painted, for cheap then go ahead but I think that can easily be repaired. Good luck.
