By the way, my laptop LCD can't do 1024x1280, but with a program called PowerStrip, I was able to sorta fool it. You scroll around the edges with the mouse, but you can definately do higher resolutions...On a monitor, it may try to actually display 1024x1280, but it's worth a shot. Do a Google search for PowerStrip and see if it works for you.

??? How can I have an uninstall? Don't we have the same thing? Didn't uninstall it yet, my birthday is tuesday, and I've been hinting to the Mrs., for a big flat monitor.

I should have thought of that , '98 here.

Antique computer hardware? 3 months old eh?
It requires 1280x1024? That's hard as hell to see even on a 17" monitor.

Actually, this computer is over 2 years old, but the monitor goes back even further. I got a good deal on it in '93, when they discontinued it. It's starting to flicker once in a while, but refuses to quit.

I've got windows 2k.
There are only two directories with PET files in them: C:\pet_root and C:\pet_prog
Delete these directories.
In the system registry (access by running regedit as Administrator) there is only one real entry. Do a search for PET5 and there should be a directory of the registry containing a key called Default and a key called Order. Neither of these are worth worrying about and they won't affect anything. I actually advice against taking them out manually if you haven't done that kind of thing before. You can really screw up your system in there.
To take PET5 out of your start menu, go to Start->Settings->Task Bar and Start Menu.
Now click on the Advanced Tab.
Click on the Advanced... Button.
Under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\ delete the PET5 directory.
Congratulations, you have successfully uninstalled PET5 without having to wipe your computer.
Can anyone tell I have to write technical documents from time to time?
Anyway, sorry if this post is too late. From what I can tell there really are no files other than in those two directories.
