It is getting even lighter with this 3 day weekend. There sure is a lot of stuff to remove if you really want. I've located a lightweight hood but still looking for fenders, nose, doors, bumpers, and lexan, I guess I will be ordering them new soon if I can't locate any decent priced used ones. I am also starting to list a bunch of items that are being removed from the car on Ebay, if anyone is interested or needs something then feel free to PM me or ask here.
Thanks,
Viking

Sorry.
I have the black door panels and some other assorted interior parts listed on Ebay and plan on adding the black center console and other parts to Ebay in the next week or so as I have time to do it.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks,
Viking

Luckily my interior has all the vinyl in black, just not the carpet- it is "silver." My door panels and seats used to have gray plaid on them, but the dash and center console aren't 2 tone.

Thanks though-

Last I weighed in it was 1710lbs. But that is minus an engine. However I still have another 200-300lbs that could be pulled off. I know I could get the car in around 2000 with all the turbo gear on without a driver.

1710 would be great ! Although I would like to have an engine in mine.
No turbo in this one so that gives me a little advantage.

Yeah, with engine it should be around 2100lbs, but I still have all my glass other than the rear hatch (lexan) and I still have metal doors, some of the underbody coating and a factory torque tube (working on a carbon one). I figure I can pull another 200+ lbs off of it if I get excessive.

Ok, with a couple weekends of work I am at 2337 (no driver) but all steel still, all glass still, still has suunroof motor and transmission, and lots of undercoating / insulation to be removed still. Motor is still all stock still so with a flywheel and maybe crank there is still some real important weight to be removed still.
2k here I come !

My target will be under 2000 lbs and I will work on it over the next couple months as I have time. There is a NASA TEXAS race at Eagles Canyon in Oct. I believe, I would like to make that race and see how I can do with it.

I will update as it gets lighter, if anyone sees any cheap lightweight panels available please let me know.

Thanks,
Viking

pull the sunroof motor, and get the lightweight versions of the hatch and hood. that should be another 75 to 100 lbs.

I'm not to that extreme, yet.
Seriously, I think this car will get my weight target without having to resort to anything too extreme like swiss cheese. Once I lose the rear hatch, windshield, fenders, bumpers, hood, and doors and replace with fiberglass we shall see where I am.
