I am still in the middle of my damper disc replacement on my 88 944 auto. I was dropping the rear suspension last night when i discovered i reaaalllly need new rear shocks. I am planning to do minor performance upgrades in the future, so i figured this would be a good excuse to throw on some sweet suspension in the rear.
I am looking for nice shocks, maybe adjustable. Is it possible to get "coil-overs" in the rear, i like the feel of soft springs. I will mostly be driving it in the street, not just any streets, Houston streets, probably some of the worst streets in the U.S. I drive it pretty hard all of the time though.
any suggestions are greatly appreciated-

Try Industrial Blvd between Sheffield and Federal. Virtually impassable by car. Amazing. To say nothing about what they've done downtown.

Coilovers in the rear will set you back $$$$ You need to convert to struts and remove the torsion bar, not an easy job. I just won some Koni Yellow adjustables off ebay. Many people recommend them. I haven't gotten them yet though, so I can't give an opinion.

Go with the Koni yellows. They make a huge difference. But be warned, once you feel how much better the rear is, you're gonna want to do the fronts too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Paragon products (800-200-9366) has them for $116 each. You could also try Pelican Parts or look on Ebay to see if there are used pairs at a good price. I'm pretty sure I bought mine used off of Ebay and they work fine. Good luck
