Default a/c quit & oil leak?

I have an 86 944 turbo which has been running fine and the a/c blowing cold. Out of the blue one day the a/c quit working and I noticed some type of oil leak. I have yet to discover where the oil is coming from, but my oil pressure is fine and my oil level has not dropped. So I'm curious if these two things would have anything to do with each other. As far as the a/c goes I did notice that when the button is pushed the compressor does not kick on as hard as it did before. Can't even really feel it kick on at all. I appreciate any help or insight on this.

Sounds like a seal blew out somewhere in the system, possibly on the front of the compressor.
Have you checked if there is any refrigerant in the system?

Not really. I unscrewed the cap just a little and refrigerant came out so I figure there is still some in there.

Best bet is to take it somewhere and have it leak checked. If you don't have the right tools/equipment, a/c problems can be difficult to diagnosis.
