Default FS 1989 944S2 Reduced Price-$5,000

1989 Porsche 944S2. Car has 147,000 miles. 3rd owner, all PCA members. I have receipts that show an excellent maintenance history. Car runs very strong and looks great. Interior is in good condition, a little wear and tear on the driver and passenger seats. Exterior is in good condition, paint looks nice, but there are some rock chips in front and on the side near the stone guards.

Previous owner had some body work completed on front valence, so the paint looks a little different on close inspection, but it looks great to the casual observer.

New tires last year, new rear brakes, updated stereo w/iPod adapter. Installed Russell Barry MAXHPkit.

A/C probalby needs a recharge, the left power sunroof motor is out, and there is a small leak in the passenger side of the rear transaxle. Only used Mobil 1 synthetic oil with regular oil changes. $5000. Car is located in Spokane, WA.

I'm motivated to sell because I have to, not because I want to.

The clutch was replaced by Paul Weir at 106,236 miles.

Lief at Autowerks Northwest in Woodinville, WA did most of the work for the previous owner. The balance shaft belt was in February of '06 at 135,375 miles. The timing belt was at 131,034 miles. The VIN # is WPOAB2944KN452409.

At 137,000 I had the engine tuned up, rear brakes done, radiator fan switch, and the power steering belt changed.

Regular oil changes.

Email for more pictures or any other detail. Thanks.

I'm glad you're all the way on the other side of the U.S. or this would be keeping me up at night.

Great price. If I had the cash I'd drive it home.

the motor and transmission are worth more than the asking price. this makes me wonder why i spent 1500 to ship my car halfway across the country in sept. could have bought this and saved a lot of $$.

Good luck.

Damn, my sister lives in Spokane. Do I need to visit her??? Let's see, $300 for airline ticket, $50 to take her to dinner and $5000 to drive home, priceless.
It should sell no problem. Good Luck

This car would sell for $8,000+ in FL within a couple days... Wish you were closer.

Good luck on the sale!

Hey aplr,
How much for the maxhp kit? since you are giving the car away and nobody is biting, might as well start parting it. I have dibs for the maxhp kit.

Who wants to give him 3k for the motor, who wants to give him 2k for the tranny, who wants to give him 2k for the roller which has the 951 brakes, the 951S sways, ABS and some other nice S2 stuff?

Seriously, I am interested in the maxhp kit. PM me. I just wonder if Russ took into account the altitude issues when he mapped it.

And for all of you complaining about the distance, i have a solution. for twice the price you can have my S2. see twice the price and half the distance. 2 X 1/2 mathematically works out to 1 so it is the same deal - right?

Tom, I think I paid $125 for the Russell Barry chip, it was a rennlsit special. Definately made a difference, in the butt dyno.

I wish I lived in Florida or somewhere this car would sell for more. As I have noted, this sale is because of a financial situation. I know I need to sell it...my wife is saying we need to sell it...I am having a hard time letting her (the car that is) go.
