".... joint venture between Gembella and Ruff."
You'd think that someone who was listing a $250,000 car would know who made it.
RUF you anus!!! I hate when I read that. It has some cool stuff, but most of it is way overdone.

Wow -
I guess I'm speechless - the rarity of it aside...hmmmm...
The first pic wasn't so bad - the gills on the side are a bit overdone, but its a circa 1986 Gemballa - bound to be overdone...
But the rest of the pics - Sheesh!!
Whats with the tail?? Good lord!
THe interior does look pretty cool though...Kind of Miami Vice a little tacky (this coming from the guy with the black/red interior you all think is tacky as hell), but pretty cool...
Certainly not worth the original $250K

Yes its terrible, but I want to know who made those gauges, some of them are an intersting mix....
Again, having money does not mean you have taste....

Well when the 'five oclock shadow' comes back into style, that car will be waiting... Was that really a $250,000 car originally? Looks like a mediocre fiberglass conversion kit car from the pictures. The color of the hood doesnt even match the fenders!

I keep thinking of white lines...kind of like the jokes about the Delorean!

And people are bidding over $45K for this thing. Hmmm, what would I do with $45K in the P-car market. Not that for sure.

Where is Sonny Crocket and Tubbs when you need them? This looks like something Castillo would send his vice squad to a drug deal in. I think just the 4k miles and the original 930 slant nose would be worth a good part of what he is asking for. I wander if the panels are steel or fiberglass? The wing is tacky but I can see how it would ram air into the intercooler. It be interesting driving one down the street if you like attention. I think RobbyK would love to have this thing at his high school parking lot. I think he would get the whole cheerleading squad on his hood if he did

Im pretty certain Vanilla Ice used to own one of these four Avalanches. I have an older Porsche 911 book with a section on 911 tuners and an Avalanche is in it, along with some Ruf and Gembella and DP Motorsport cars. I think he paid a lot more than $250,000 for it too. I heard closer to $1 million. I saw him and this car in a TV thing a couple years back when he was going thru financial trouble. I think his debut album sold 12 million copies and was the biggest selling debut album in the history of music up to that point. With oodles of money and a dorky hairdo, he splurged on stuff like Avalanches then went close to bankrupt.
The depressing part is that at one time Vanilla Ice was selling 12 million records. The American public will buy dog turds if you market it well enough.
