Post 968 Door Panels...pics

Well I got these yesterday! I think they'll modernize the interior of the S2 a little bit more as well as be the next step in the changes to my color scheme in there.

I haven't installed them yet because I don't have any black interior door handles. The ones I have are white and I think will look funny on these, so if anybody knows where I can get some black ones, let me know! I'll also post some pictures once I get them installed!

If you don't mind my asking, where'd you get 'em and what'd you pay? I'm trying to determine what they're really worth.

They'll look great in your car...do send pics once installed!

I wonder why they didn't continue the pattern forward past the door handles.....and it is only aft of it?

Those are the late "ribbed" panels. They came as stock in Classic Gray on my '91 951. I love them. Congratulations. They'll make a great improvement to your interior. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

I think there more ugly... Sorry but I like the smooth look of the normal 944 panels. The early 924 panels with the Porsche script are cool. The ribbed look is alittle out of place.

I wish I had a black interior, the Lt Gray/Tan is a bitch to keep clean!

Dave,

What are you doing with your old panels? I may be interested if they are indeed the same color as my 951's interior.

Thanks

Even sent me all the speakers with them too!

Perry- I'm not changing the whole interior to black, just parts of it. Basically it has more linen than black and I like more black, so I'm changing these door panels and the next (and I'm thinking final) change will be to switch the white carpets out for black as well. What a job that's going to be too! So the carpet along the console and floors, hatch etc will be black, and the linen colored parts of the dash and console, along with the white seats will make for some nice and unique looking accents on my interior that I haven't seen on any other car yet.

As far as selling the old panels, I'm not sure about that yet..I have a tendency to keep my stock stuff around all the time just so I can go back to the stock look if I ever wanted to..will I ever? Probably not..I just keep way too much stuff.
