Under Drive Pulleys
Are under drive pulleys worth the price for a daily driver? Since I can't get any more HP out of my NA I am looking at ways to more effectivley use the HP I have. I'm going to install a lighter exshaust and remove the rear seat. Under drive pulleys seem to be a good way to go but are they worth the price for a non-track car?

Yeah, they are crazy expensive for our cars. I paid 160.00 for the ones on my Mustang when i had it. I know www.autosportfl.com has them, and you can buy them individualy. It may be worth just doing the crankshaft pully so one does not have to drop a load on the whole kit.

track or not, some cars just have trouble with aftermarket pulleys
would be nice to know if there are known problems with 944's using aftermarket pulleys
you are talking about Lyndsey set right? they seem to be pretty cheap

Isn't there a benefit, if for nothing else... the weight of the pulleys themselves?

No powersteering, no A/C. The pullies do need to be stock howver.

i remember reading somewhere (pelican i think) that pulley weight on the front of the engine should be related to flywheel weight on the back somehow...someone was looking at putting a 12lb single-mass flywheel on his 968 and they chewed him out because the pulleys would unbalance it or something.
might all just be BS but who knows.

Nitrous isnt setup yet, Still finishing the install of the motor, SHould be running very soon, Once I get it running I will be swapping in a LR Mafterburner setup and tuning, The nitrous kit I have waiting to be instlled is a NOS single fogger wet setup, 50-100hp adjustable, I dont want to install it untill im done breaking in the engine this way I wont be tempted to use it LOL. My idea for the nitrous setup is to T off the end of the fuel rail where the check ball is then run the nitrous sil. off that and a fuel pressure sensor off that too. For timing I have a MSD digitial SCI plus with built in nitrous retard if needed. I Will keep everyone posted,.
