I just saw this on Pelican. Some Rennlist member needs to get this.

34k miles eh? Is it just me or does the driver seat looks a little worn for that kind of mileage. I bought my car at 42k and the seats were like new with hardly any where. If the mileage is true looks like a great deal, just get it checked out in my opinion.

I agree 100% and I think the motor should look much cleaner as well.

A buddy of mine, who was in the used car business, once told me to look at the brake/clutch rubber pedal pads for wear as an indicator of a car's age. At that mileage, they should look fairly new. Also, my completely unscientific "test" on how fanatical/maniacal the owner is when it comes to the finer details of Porsche maintenance, is by simply looking at the center caps on the wheels. Hardcore enthusiasts will have the 'points' of the crests aimed at the tire valve stems. That's the way they were oriented when shipped off the assembly line. An even better test of character, would be to simply talk "shop" with the owner, and see if he/she knows their stuff!

The passenger seat looks to be a driver seat. How can it be adjusted ?
About hardcore enthusiasts, I've been told that on their wheels the anti-thief nuts face the valve stems

In that interior pic, does it look like the carpet is worn through by the gas pedal?
Hard telling with the fuzzy pics.
Nice looking car, though

I belive the mileage, my engine bay looked worse when I bought it at 24K miles, and the rest looks good to me. Maybe not kept as clean as some people would have, but looks like nice car. A little dye touch-up on the seats and they'll look like new. I'm always amazed at how many low mileage 951's are still out there.
