Looking for advice on a front strut tower brace
Which engine bay strut tower brace do you guys use? Any issues with 'em fitting in a 951, causing hood clearance problems? Do you have to modify the brake booster heat shield?

I use a Brey Krause bought from www.paragon-products.com
Quality product, needed to cut a notch in the heat shield, easy to do, no hood problems.

Nordschleife Master
I have the Weltmeister on an 88 951S. Fits fine out of the box (I have no hood insulation) and sure is a strong sucker. It did start to rust after 8 years, though. So I had it chromed which cost a hundred bucks.

Ditto the Brey-Krause kudos.. There is one on e-bay right now. I like the fact that it is stainless.

So would the Weltmister be the only one that will fit my 86 na?
I do notice a "gap" between my brake resivoir and other stuff...
Is there any cheaper?, it is mostly just a bar ya know....

I think they all make versions for all cars. I have never seen a Brey-Krause, I have seen Racing Dynamics bars for 8-V non Turbos. I think the Weltmeister is the "most cost-effective" but it's been a while since I've shopped for one. Never noticed any corrosion.

I am trying to get info on the brace from www.stable-energies.com they seem to have a nice piece for 911's. They are supposed to send me a pic. Any suggestions on this bar, price is nice.
Jason
PS: sparco had a cheap one but they don't make it anymore.

I've run a Stabil Energies bar in my NA 944 and 924S. A very nice bar particularly in a NA where you can use the truss bars. Bob Kacasick and his daughter Laurette are good people.

I like the look of the BK bar best. Notching the brake booster heat shield looks like a requirement for any of the bars. One last question, you guys with the BK bar- have you retained the underhood foam insulation, or did this get pulled for clearance?
