Default Carpet installation!!! Woot!! Progress pics

I finally got my center console out (I broke it actually) and started to see what my new carpet would look like. Tommarow i'm gunna glue it down, but there are some carpet pieces I need still. The first picture is a piece of carpet I can't get out. Should I just cut it out? If anybuddy has center console carpet in black, let me know. I need the the carpet piece that has the hatch release button and the hood button. Also the piece that goes between the rear seat and the floor. I don't know if I want to put a rear seat in. Are the any carpet kits for a rear seat delete?

Nice...looks great. I think that deutsch-nine.com (or something like that) has a carpet kit for rear seat delete, but unfortunately its 300 euro + shipping from Switzerland...

I think that you might have some luck by wrapping the bottom half of the rear seat with carpet for a lot less. Or some people have made rear seat delete carpets themselves..I think that there's a writeup in the DIY section

Yea, my Dad's bussiness is making custom cabinets. So i'm sure he could build me a rear seat delete thing.

cool...yeah i'm sure you could do something in that case

if you have the resources (which it sounds like you do) you could probably do something like the cubbies that Porsche put in some of the 968 cabrio's. I think that there are some pictures floating around here of them if you search, and I've always thought that that was one of the coolest ways to delete the rear seats. In my opinion, you need something back there - cubbies or roll bar or somehting like that, or the car just looks a bit empty (just my $.02)

Yea, thats exactly what I was thinking. I'm either going to put black rear seats in, or make something like the 968 cubbies. Hopefully I can find OEM 968 cubbies (Ebay), lol. I don't just want to put carpet down, because it would look too empty.
