Default Farewell my friend.. long picture post*

My car is officially gone.. off to another owner who I hope will take care of it..

On a lighter note, now I can start saving up for a 968!

Anyway, just thought I'd post some memories of my first Porsche from the day I bought it to the day it sold..

The car as it was when i got it.

The work to be done..

Night time drives and in the rain, beaches and sunny days..

Playing well with others..

The day it sold..

Ok I'm over it..

She was a beaut, all right! Even I miss her.

May I ask why you cut into the cam cover?

Cheap ball ended hex key broke off in the bolt. The only way to get the cam cover off was to cut through it.

Blaarghh.. The new owner just called me.. He was sitting in traffic and the car started overheating.. gah..

I felt the same way when I sold the 83. It was my first Porsche and I loved it, warts and all. It's doing fine now though with a good owner and is used in Nor Cal 944 Spec. They don't die, they just find new homes...unless of course it's a 951 and Lart buys it. I loved all the pics you used to post hitting the great North Bay roads, these cars will do that to you. Good luck on your 968 search.

Yeah, the thing to do is have some kicks with some cheap Hyundais or some such until you're ready to commit again.

thanks for the support, these are hard times, hard times indeed..

The one good thing to look forward to though is that my girlfriends dad is giving me his 99' 6-speed 540i M-Sport after he gets a new car. So I'll have something to turn up in on future Porsche runs, it just won't be a 944, or 968.. Not for awhile..

It was good times chopping your engine up together. Make sure you give me a call when you get a 968. I'll have my cutting torch ready.

Seriously though, congrats selling it. Now buy my 968!
