Fishey, Yea, we got events.. cookout, scenic cruise en-masse, photo ops and video production. But no track, and the autocross is done with lawnmowers.. If you want to attack the best track in the area, sign up for the NOR Drivers Ed the following weeekend, there will a be a large group of 944s there. We have a dyno in town that charges $50 for 3 pulls, but that would dilute the actual picnic attendance. We'll be at the dyno Monday or Tues after. If a group wants to arrange dyno time that weekend, I'm fine with that but I'll have a large number of guests at my home and won't be up for it. Perry and I are talking about a dyno day some sunday when the salt is gone and the sun is shining, maybe April if he's ready. You will see, there is no time for drag racing, etc.. it's "just" a picnic with some serious waterpumpers in attendance, and a great group of people too.

LoL well for the mowerX sounds great! I also think the whole event will be great! I will also have to say is there going to be a pig roast? or something because I looked at that pig roast on your webpage and it made me mighty hungery! My parents said they were going to come but I told them in what porsche? They just said I guess we are going to have to buy another(they have owned 944's and 924's in the past) So hopefuly they do! I would like to know more about this drivers school were can I get some information and cost?

For Drivers Ed info, Join the PCA! (pca.com) All the regions host their own, but you can cross-attend other regions' events. The pig was the main course last year, this year we're going with a seafood theme, clams and other delicacies shipped in from Boston the day before. For the land-lubbers, we'll sure to grill up some steaks or burgers if the budget is tight. Rest assured, you will NOT go away hungry!

I am so hungery right now but went over to Ken farler's place and almost lost my load on some of the cars there. He has a 944 fab car there and a 930 turbo (with a race built engine) but some guy blew it so he is rebuilding that. (I wonder if he needs some help around the shop?) LOL, anyways that was good I loved his shop, I do need to join the PCA. Well anyways I am going to go eat (sea food sounds good for the event)

DC to Mansfield OH is 408 miles. 800 miles round trip is a long haul for a picnic.. But if you want to do it, you are more than welcome! I feel a lot of pressure to make this event worth it if someone drives 12 or 14 hours for it. Maybe Hershey would be closer for ya?

We could all hook up somewhere on 80/90 (AKA "the toll road") near the Michigan/Indiana/Ohio border. I'm sure other Michiganer's will be meeting us somewhere near this corner!

Look at it this way, it's only 89 days away!!

I think this is going to be a big turnout. We're gonna need name tags!
