Hi Lars
This is limiting your response very much.
You may want to try here:
<a href="http://www.pelicanparts.com/index.htm" target="_blank">http://www.pelicanparts.com/index.htm</a>
Scroll down in the left colum to find Tech forums 924/944/968.
Web site contains parts diagrams etc that can be helpfull in your description of the part you want info on.

I suppose you want to know what is "register-reim" in english and where does 944 have it,if 944 does have it.

I check out a net a little bit and i guess you mean a "timing belt".

If so, 944 does have it (also balance saft belt).
They are located in front of engine behind that black plastic cover.
If this was not the case, sorry but i can't help you any furter.

Exact translation:
What is a timing belt called in english.. and where on a 944 is it located, if it is.

Wow - my Norwegian and German language skills are rusty (but ask me about my French ), but excuse the typing errors and spelling errors - but here you are. I would check it with an on-line translator - but I can't find one from Norwegian to English.

Hei Lars,

Jeg tror at de (De?) det visesr till det "tidsberegnings belte"(engelsk - "timing belt"), ja? Det er auf der vorderseite maskinen - et deksel. Det "tidsberegnings belte" vender fra maskinen og styrear (styrer??) kamen. La meg vite om dette er hva som de trenger informasjon..???

Jeg er trist ikke maskinskriver de riktige brevene fra mit tastatur som "å" (which I "copy and paste" from your post.)

OK - if I find a spelling/translation system - and read this post in it - I will probably delete it..
