Post My new website...Check it out!

Ok guys so I've been working on this site for a couple weeks and am close to finishing it..sort of! But I thought I'd get some feedback from you all and see what you think. You can also see our cars and stuff. You can guess which car has had the most time spent on its profile..

I still have some sections to work on and finish, as well as some more work on some of the car profiles, but you can look at my S2's and see how they'll all eventually look when I get around to it. I'm still working on the file size thing so the galleries are probably not dial up friendly yet, sorry to those guys but I'll get it worked out eventually.

Let me know what you think of the site and the cars

Thanks guys! Eventually when I get around to making the picture sizes reasonable I'll post the ones of us on the track at DEs! They're not just show cars, we do drive the hell out of em!

Only Porsches can you go throw around a track for a weekend, clean it up and have it look like a show car again when you're done! Gotta love it...

You guys, the 944 roll cage that Dave has created is AWESOME. I've seen it in person. I suggest all 944 owners who are looking for something like that, hold out and get on the waiting list so Dave can start pumping them out. Very ingenius design, the way it mounts. Check out the pictures.

THe problem with most roll bars I've seen is that most of them put mounting points or pads on the floor which isn't a reinforaced part of the car..it could go right through it with enough force. This bar keeps the pressure in the event of a rollover strictly on reinforced sections of the car so it's not going to go anywhere...

I don't have a diagonal bar on mine so it won't be legal for club racing or anything, but we can add one easily enough. Although we figured out that having the diagonal bar won't really strengthen it very much because of the way the rest of it is structured. I'm only an engineering student though...my dad knows better how all of it works as we spent a few months planning this out and calculating everything.

Looks like it mounts to the B-pillar and then the lower rear seat belt mounting...What do I win??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

How much seat travel do you have with the roll bar in??

EDIT: Too late, looks like Dave answered the question.

Seat travel is pretty much full range. The fire extinguisher mount I have limits the passenger backward travel a little, but the driver I believe is full range forward and back.

Obviously you can't recline the seat all the way down to sleep, but you still can as much as you'd need to to drive. I like it..doesn't block my vision any except some in the rear quarter windows.

Dont' forget the A pillars are the weak spot on the 944.

Dave, any chance on making a bolt in A Pillar bar?

We do have to build them by hand though (which also ensures quality work!) so I can't exactly mass produce them. But if there's enough interest I may very well build some more if you guys like them.

Perry- Good question..I'm sure we COULD make one. I mean we have the means here to build a full cage for the car. It's just a matter of design and fabrication. I'm not sure how I'd make one that would look clean and reinforce just the A pillar...interesting idea though! If we do that though I think it'd be a little ways down the road.

Dave, You might want to consider a way to keep the shoulder harnesses from sliding sideways on the bar, with the stock seats it is likely they will not stay on your shoulders in a crash. There are 3 1/2" wide hoops(rectangular) on my BK harness guide bar for this, I think they are just some 1/8" rod welded on. Otherwise cool design and good luck!! great site!
