I've considered a 944 but heard that replacing the T-Belt (and usually the waterpump at the same time) can be a bit $$$. If that was the only thing of issue with the car, is the price reflective of having to pay for that work still or not? Looks nice in the pics. How's the dash? (since they usually crack); How's the sunroof (since the gear often strips)? On the plus, a recent clutch is always nice. What did you mean by "recent brake job" - Brake pads? Fluid flush? rebuilt calipers? All of the above?

Default answers..

The brake job was new pads and rotors in the rear, and new pads in the front about a year ago. I barely ever drive this car and that is one of the other reasons i am selling. The sunroof works just fine as does the speedo, no stripped gears on either. The dash is in near new condition because i left a protecting pad on it during the summer and whenever i don't drive it which will be included Please let me know if you have any questions. I have also listed it on craigslist.com for the Washington DC area and i have gotten some good responses from that ad too.

Nah man...I did it myself in 6 hours (for the first time - I'll cut that in half next time). $350 worth of parts for everything including thae waterpump, plus $150 or so worth of tools, which are easily sold off later if you don't need them anymore. See here: https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/349552-belts-water-pump-and-front-seals-on-an-85-5-944-a.html

However this isn't a car I'd suggest if you don't want to do your own wrenching. At least for me....I'd rather buy something newer like a Boxter if I didn't have the space, time and inclination to do my own work.

Default color questions...

As for the color questions, I've got to be honest i don't know the official color name. Something german i imagine... But it is a very light blue-ish silver. I know it was a factory color but i don't know the official name. The paint is in good condition considering its age. Could use a good buff but i wash and wax religiously during the fair weather months....

Check the options list sticker, under the vertical carpet piece at the rear; it's be inside the car just opposite of the license plate. that'll have the color code, which can be decoded.
