944 Spec car with part throttle miss
On the "new" 944 Spec car. it has a weird part-throttle miss that occurs only when I'm off the gas for a few seconds, then try to get back into part throttle (like feathering back in the gas coming off of a corner). It can happen in a straight line. If I hold part throttle it will stumble badly for 4-5 seconds until it suddenly clears up and pulls cleanly with out further issue until I repeat the sequence of being off the gas for a while, etc. When it's doing this, if I get out of the gas, and jump right into full throttle, it pulls cleanly. If I gradually advance the throttle w/o backing out, it continues to miss.
I've adjusted the wiper tracks on the AFM with no change, and the car has a replacement fuel rail, also with no change in symptoms. I'm thinking O2 sensor, need new AFM

Do you still have your catalytic converter on your race car? I had mine one and had some power loss and eventually stopped me from finishing the race. I took it to my mechanics and he removed the cat and showed me the big chunk of honeycomb that broke loose which clogged my exhaust. Maybe that could be the same problem. Good luck.

BAD O2 SENSOR - Unplug the O2 sensor to let the DME use the default fuel maps to varify.
*An explanation of the problems that you are experiencing with the O2 sensor can be found here at our old buddy FRWilk's web site.

The last few paragraphs at the bottom of the page proved enlightening.
If you are going to run the engine without the O2 sensor then the best option is to buy a Wilk PP2 chip as it is based on the European fuel maps. The price can be offset by not investing in an O2 sensor.
