Question Clear side markers?

Does anyone know if there is a company that makes clear sidemarkers for 944's?

No one makes them, we looked into this quite extensively even tracking down where the Bosch molds are and asking them about it.

And it is likely no one ever will because there isn't a big enough pool of customers.

Anyone have a Vacu-former? Could probably take a colored lens and press out some clear ones using clear styrene acetate, (blister pack material)??? We use to do this when I was into building model cars, in order to make a clear replica of a part, or to change the color.

If you guys check out the photo I took of this violet 951 that wrecked at Sears Point a couple of weekends ago, you'll noticed that it has CLEAR side-marker lenses AND taillights!!!

How old are you? We're trying to help you out. Make some. I thought you meant side repeaters when you said sidemarkers, so I linked you but of course that wasn't right either...

Yeah, the car is missing front turn-signals and side-markers because he crashed. But they were the same as the rear side-marker that you can see. Just slightly dirty from the crash and blown engine (mushroom cloud of smoke, took 30-minutes to clean up).

My point is, that they DO exist if you want them...

Someone must have cooked them up on their own.

I would like to get clear front turn signals (turbo bumper) and clear front side markers. Even thought of making some myself but it sure looked like it would be an expensive project to do right.

Look, I know you guys are trying to help me out, I was just curious if you could buy some. Obviously they exist if you have pics, but where did they come from and if they were handmade how do you do it? I appreciate all the input but don't flame me for not knowing.
Thanks guys.

I'll get in touch with the guy with the crashed violet 951 to see if he'll make some more. I think he's pretty busy putting his engine back together at the moment. They looked pretty simple to make actually. He said he removed his original lenses, then made replacements using panels from flourescent ceiling lights!

Thumbs up

You won't believe this Dan. The very next day after seeing that 951 with the clears my mom brought a bunch of that material home from work for me to rig some clears for my 944! She's so coo'.
