Restoration and New Paint, need parts source
I am doing a full repaint and want to replace most of the exterior rubber, including windshield seals, window seals and squeegees, door seals etc. Anyone found a good source where every piece is not $50-100 each?

NO .
Do a search and look for a post called (I've bumped it for you)

Also I listed a partial list of rubber and trim pieces that I changed at this post:
"Painting tips/suggestions"
I've estimated that I bought somewhere north of $500 in rubber pieces and trim. It's important that you closely evaluate your existing trim before you start. You very well maybe able to re-use alot of it. I couldn't b/c PO screwed up my paint.
BTW, I've got a new set of door seals in the garage. My wife pulled apart one of them at the seam (on accident) but it can be glued back together. The other is in perfect shape. I paid $140 for the set at Vertex but will sell both for $70. Basically you get the perfect one for my cost and the one that needs to be glued for free. I can post a picture if you need.

Wow, looking back at the list I posted that was about 2/3rds of the rubber pieces that I replaced. There were plenty other pieces that fit into the category of "while you're in there."

I'm going to be doing this soon, I need to by the middle of August so I am just 'listening' right now.
How do you know a good paint shop, etc.?

I'll second the $500+ in rubber. I replaced all of it except the passenger outer door seal.
Total on rubber fron Paragon / Brumos: $758.16
As far as part numbers, if you don't have PET, go to your dealer and have them print off the seals page. Then, pick and choose what you need.

Believe it or not, for the rear hatch seal, there is a universal replacement product that is almost exactly the same as the original. When I redid a 924 about eight years back I found it, in all places, J.C. Whitney catalog. They had cross section drawings in actual size and I just laid the end of the one in the car against the catalog picture.
