someone mentioned the 968 turbo, I know they made a 968 turbo S also 306 hp 369 tq stock. but that is such a rare car probably costs a fortune to buy one.

930
959

In that order. Considering Bill Gates owns 1 of the 2 or 3 racing "real" 959s in the US due to Federal crash standards making it next to impossible to have one on the road legally. I think many of us will be waiting until the next life time to get one even if we can muster up the 100+ thousands to buy it. I would like to buying one for $80k.

Here is a quote from wikipedia: "The 959 can be fitted with a catalytic converter and a rechipped computer which allows it to meet those emissions requirements. However, most owners refuse to modify their 959s, and the cars remain collection pieces. Most 959s are currently in the hands of collectors, but the ones that are available do occasionally come to market, with prices in the region of 180,000 - 250,000 EUR (cars produced in 1987/1988). It is impossible to estimate the price of cars from the highly limited batch of 1992/1993."

These are a few of the NON US cars for sale http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/find...whatbutton.x=0

One on ebay about 2 years ago http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/Porsche...?storyId=14754

I like the looks of the 997, they went back to the round headlights.

so it's pretty much impossible to get a real 959. Theres a 1974 911 converted to a 959 here in vancouver for 40 grand.

930 is on of my dream cars also but I still think the 993 turbo is the best 911 / attainable porsche. Most of us won't become billionaires so we can't drive a 959 or carrera gt like bill gates.

There are a lot that I would love to own! But realistically (sp?), I will own a 911 SC/Carrera or 964 some day.

Yummy, you really shouldnt knock a Cayenne till you have REALLY driven one... ITs as Porsche as an SUV can be... A Cayenne Turbo S is an amazing vehicle... They all handle crazy good... And if it has PDCC... Oh man.... A 2 ton SUV shouldnt be able to turn that flat....

Cayenne Turbo to haul my GT3 to the track...haha

4.5L + 8 cylinders + 2 turbos = 5000lb truck hitting 60 in under 5 secs.

Excellent.

993 or 996 Carerra 4s. Got close to buying both at one point or another but scaled back when I started analyzing the total costs involved. My car runs just fine and costs nothing compared to those two.

I love em all but would like to have a 904 someday. Like others have said...having a newer model like a 996 or 997 isn't special, but having an older running rare model is.
