I dunno... the more I look at it, the more I'm beginning to like it
Brutal, you covered up your plate number in your avatar, but they're in plain sight in the night time pics you just posted... may wanna edit those pics

I think it looks different for sure, and the workmanship looks top notch. I kinda like it, but if you like it, that's what really matters
I thought that this thread was going to be about somebody adding the center light panel to the stock rear lights, but its kinda cool to see somebody going in a completely different direction.

there's a 'LART951' on every forum with constructive comments like 'Crap' ............must've hurt thinking that one up!
Still haven't received the edging trim for them yet but will update pics as and when
....may convince the doubters then lol!

WHen you change a basic feature on a FAMILIAR car, the look can be jarring, no matter how well it is executed. You see the feature and it just doesn't look "right" to you.
But I think the 944 is getting old/rare/forgotten enough that people will just see it without any preconceived ideas about what it is "supposed" to look like.
Have you thought about taking off the black spoiler? Maybe going with a 968 spoiler?

My bad, I am in the wrong forum, I though this was the 951 forum. Btw the some of the pictures are from 951's that had the rear swapped with a 968 end.
