Post Speed Force Racing

Speed Force Racing has grown quite tremendously in its fist couple of years in business. It started out as my hobby and has progressed into something beyond my wildest dreams. I never thought that making my car go faster or look better would ever turn into something this great. I am very pleased with our sucess.

John Anderson, myself and the rest of the guys have really started cranking things up in the last eight months that John has been on board. We have brought alot of new products onto the market that we are very happy about. We have also been building alot of engines too:^) John decided that it might be better is he branches off and forms his own company doing what he loves to do. Build motors. So.... I am proud to announce Johns new company, Andersons Motors.

SFR will still be building all the cool bolt-on stuff like supercharger kits, exhausts, mafs kits, intercoolers, etc.....We also have some new products we are working on and will be releasing soon. We also plan on working closely with John to help his new company grow just as rapidly as Speed Force Racing has.

To all of SFR's existing customers.......Your motors will be finished here at SFR and your orders for all your bolt-on goodies will continued to be filled as usual and fully supported by SFR. If you were dealing with John before now you are going to have to deal with Aaron or myself. Rest assured though, you will be in competent hands. If you have any questions or concerns you can call us at the shop 619-441-1359.

Over a month ago I took a big risk and sent my block out there. I was told that in three weeks it would be shiped back to me. I took the risk and went with SFR because I was sending it to John who is presently running the 2.8. So who now will be doing the engine work if the engine is at SFR and John is somewhere else? Evrey time I call I get this big long talk about how SFR is going to make it up to me for my block not being back on time. I took my spring break off and my father used his vacation time durring the week of my spring break because I had been told that "there is no reason why I shouldn't have my parts on time" (and that is a direct quote from an email from Tim) I then find out that the delay is because of the pistons, not SFR's fault, but a delay that they have had many times befor! I just don't see how SFR is going to "make this up to me" I busted my *** flying home every weekend to clean parts and get the rest of the car ready so that I would be able to present it at the swap meet. Well the swap meet is in two days and I have a big hole in the front of my car.

Tim, Give me a call 931-454-2000 (Work), 931-454-0643 (Home)

I too sent my engine to John at SFR because he has built and is running the 2.82, I do not feel good about someone else trying to build this engine for the first time.

I have been waiting patiently since early Feb.

Tim,

We were not supposed to build your motor, just have the machinig done. I will send your block out today if you are really concerned. We are still waiting for the pistons though.I can send them out when they come.I was going to call JE again today and find out what the hell is going on.I am sorry about the delay but John leaving is not going to have any bearing on your motor.

On another note.....John is not the only one that has ever built engines here. I guess the 3.0L's that I have built dont count for sqaut:^) Remember, I started SFR by myself when John still worked at Huntley. I guess all the time it took to learn how to TIG weld, tune stand alone, completely dissassemble and reassemble so many cars I cant keep track of and build quite a few motors(which are still on the road BTW)means nothing. C,mon guys! I am more then capable of ringing your
block, putting the rods in and installing the
head. Shoot I could still build blocks when he leaves but I want to focus on the bolt-ons since that is what I like to do. Take care.

For all I know your more qualified than John. The point is that I don't know. I have been dealing with John the whole time. One of the reasons I did this was because I knew I could call and talk to a person who had the same motor as me. The other thing is why did you not tell me that you have had delays with JE in the past. You quoted me 3 weeks. Then I asked if it would be in by my spring break (4 weeks) and was told there was no reason that I should not. I find out later that you have had delays up to six weeks from them. NO I do not want my block shiped back without the pistons. What good would that do me. I also thought there was more work needed once you got the pistons in. Right now what I need to know is there going to be someone out there who knows these 2.8's inside and out and can help me mod and keep it running. I also would like to see how "SFR is going to make this up to me"

(sorry for all the screwd up replys. Don't know what went wrong)

I do not mean this to be an atack on SFR or Tim. John was not the only reson I sent my block out there. I like the look of all their products and will most likely be purchesing even more of them in the future. They have always been very nice on the phone. I am just a little woried that I am going to get stuck with an engine, that if something goes wrong with it, no one will be able to help me.

Guys.... don't go and jump all over Tim for this. I remember back when I first got on here and Tim was all by himself. Tim is SFR.. and I think this split up is a good thing. I like John, I like Tim, but ever since they got together, it seems like there has been friction. I am sure both of them will be accessible to assist in the products they sell. I do agree if John started your motor work, John should finish it. Too many mistakes happen if someone jumps in 1/2 way into a motor. Perhaps this is the move that will bring me back to SFR/Anderson. We'll see.

Now... for the delay. Many of us are waiting on motors from Technodyne, SFR, Garrity, whom ever. We all are waiting on the same damn thing, JE pistons. No need to get pissed off that the engine builder, but I would like one or all of them to post a number where we can call JE and politely ask to hurry the hell up. Garrity knew I needed pistons December 3 when I told him that he would do my motor. I know he sent mine and 4 other orders out before the first of the year. Still waiting.

So.. for you whom have been waiting on JE pistons, let's call and get the ball rolling. Now who has that number?

Just got a call from Tim, we talked over some details everything will work out ok.

It is too bad John and Tim went there on way in the middle of these projects, but Tim does quality work also, I have purchased products from Tim before he was SFR and have always been satisfied.

Talked with John this afternoon and he will be completing the engines that are started at SFR.

Now if we can get JE to finish our pistons.

This may be a stupid question, but why do you have to have JE pistons anyway (if they're taking so long)? I thought other places used to use Mahle pistons, and I'm sure there are other quality pistons out there aren't there? Or is it a specific size or material thing, or even a price thing? Just curious....

I've been selling parts for over a year now on my two websites...and I know how it feels being on the other end, the same end as John and Tim...waiting for manufacturers to come through with their product...I've waited up to 6 months for sway bars! 6 months! Anyways...when there is a backorder or whatnot, I encourage my customers to call the manufacturers and inquire about parts for their cars. If they see there is an interest, they just might get a clue and start stocking more of that particular part (its worked before )

Anyways...JE Pistons - 714-898-9763 (www.jepistons.com) Good luck...
