Still holding strong. Alt. still charging battery. I heard belt squeak on a cold damp morning in early July. It ended in 10 seconds. Michael
Oh, and err on the side of a little longer than shorter. My first attempt at this sheared off my crank pulley with a too tight belt. (see post 11)

Glad to hear it has held up. I just slipped on the KO50335 belt and once I get the engine back in the car whe'll see how she runs. Tension with this belt seems pretty decent. Not too tight or loose.

I got a short belt like this and put it in my trunk. Just in case my AC compressor breaks off again and I need to drive home with just an alternator!

Just a quick update: It has been about 19 mos. since I installed the longer belt (863mm). Since the weather started turning, the belt began to squeak. This is our first "cold" week in LA and the squeak is unbearable at slow speeds (until warm). So, I replaced it with another. Hope this helps. Michael

I know this is an old post but I wanted to give you my findings. I put in the longer KO50330 and it worked fine for the first 30mins on my 86 Turbo. Then it started squeaking progressively worse to the point where it sounded like a screaming banshee. Belt dressing was used in the beginning but the belt is too big. Good amount of slack.
I'm moving to the shorter belt.

Sorry to extreme necro this thread from the dead, but I have been running the 863mm k050335 for about 6 months. I finally had to replace it with another after stretching it from removing and reinstalling it several times. The new one doesnt fit as snug as I remember the last belt fitting, it squeaks terribly even fully warmed up as I take off from a stop if there is a lot of load on the alternator (lights + fog lights on). It also doesnt really charge correctly when the engine is cold, you can hear the belt slipping and since I run without belt covers, I'm afraid this new belt is going to snap and take out my timing belt. The tension is really pretty loose, I don't know if maybe this time it was just a fluke and I got an old, stretched belt from the store. What have you guys experienced with this? Should I try the shorter 856mm ko50330 belt and just use my judgement to make sure it isnt TOO tight?

I think you asnwered you own question with wether you should use a shorter belt.
My car came like this because 2 POs back had broke the AC compressor off. It ran fine for years so there should be a good belt length to use. Sorry I don't know what it is.

Doug, you'll want a belt that fits snugly. Unless you want a repeat of sunday night
The extra effort to obtain/install the correct belt is worth it to avoid all sorts of problems down the road. Including but not limited to... ruining fans, making love to the timing/BS belt, and of course simply leaving with no way to charge the battery.
You should also look into re-configuring your alternator to use a tensioner at some point... so then you can account for factors like belt stretch and 5-10mm of error when you need to buy whatever belt Autozone or Oreilly has in stock.
Unless you just really like replacing belts in parking lots...

I use this belt and haven't had any issues yet.
I've had it on for about 6 months now so I can't testify to it's longevity for any period longer than that though.
