Default 951 M030 delrin sway bar bushing help

I am putting on 944 Turbo S M030 (26.8mm) front sway bar with delrin bushings on and the bar mount will not completely fit over the bushing.

There is about a 1/2" gap before it will close. Before I break something, was I supposed to get different bar mounts?

Borys-

I atke it this is the center mounts? Anyway when I switched to delrin for my inners for my 30mm bar, it did not require switching the bar mount, the stock fit fine. When you measure the .5" gap, are you putting the bar that drops down in between the bar mount and still seeing that large gap?

Hey Riff!!

Here's a pic of what I am talking about. I looked in PET and there are 2 different versions of the circular part -86 and 87 and up. I'm guessing the one on my 86 is smaller.

With the larger bar you need different hangers d00d. This is the hanger from your previous bar that was smaller in diameter, correct?

I know. This has happened to me with paragon as well. You could pretty easily fabricate your own, but I suspect you don't have a bend, steel, a place to make a jig, drill press etc.. Sorry man. I got punked once by paragon with sway bar bushings that were incorrectly shipped, and because of the bushings and my ball joints I ultimately did a track event in our 930 which had a blocked cat. Sweet weekend that was. The delrin ones showed up on monday.

bend? jig? drill press? BAH!!! you don't need any of that, thats for u high-falutin guys.

I got aluminum flat stock from Lowes and I with 1 vise, a piece of string to measure with, and several hammers I have 1 bracket done. Just need to drill it and do the other side.

I'll post pics after I finish them. now I gotta go to chuuurch...

Airflit, I'm up in Madison, WI and have a Genuine Porsche set still in original packaging. Part # 944.343.731.02 (late style, '87-)
I also have a Genuine Porsche set of the center drop links that these fasten to if your looking to clean those up as well, part number on those are #944.343.733.31

944online sells these two parts as a set for 30.00 per side. You can have them for 20.00 per side plus shipping which shouldn't be much.
PM me if your interested.

Borys I have the same problem as you. Ordered the delrin bushings and they are a different diameter. I have a bar ready to go into the car but had to stay with a smaller one for now because of the same issue.
