Default Best way to sell car

My friend wants to get rid of his early 85 944 N/A. It has a crappy silver paintjob over the orginal light green metallic paint and a new black interior... It runs very well and the interior is a solid 8/10 (new carpets, 924S gauges, late power leather seats)

Do you guys think it would be more cost effective to sell it as is with the bad paintjob or is it worth getting a maaco job to make it one solid color that looks decent from 10ft away?

FWIW, the Maaco around here does decent work. Another friend rear ended someone in her 04 Corolla and she paid $440 for the entire front end to get painted. It looks pretty decent (but certainly not anywhere near factory level) and there was only one small run.

Depends on what he wants to sell the car for. If the price is low, sell it as is but if he is asking for a high amount for the area he is selling it in, then I think an original color repaint is needed.

-only one run- thats good.

just leave it as is and sell it. Why put one more crap paintjob ontop of another.
