Default 2 Rotor questions.

2 questions. What is the difference between the two front rotors on a 951S?

Second. Below is a picture of my rotor. There are little cracks in it. Is it normal? Dangerous? I ahve already replaced them but was just wondering.

Most likely the cooling vanes are directional, so theres a left and a right.

As for the cracks, did you drive through a big puddle after driving hard, or wash your car after driving hard?

It's very possible I did.

As for the veins, which way should they go? To me it looks like they are backwards. I was figuring the opening/veins would rotate forward as the car goes. Mine are the other way.

Vanes should curve toward the rear of the car at the top of the rotor.

It's hard to tell from the pic because lighting sometimes makes the rotor cracks look worse than they are. Small cracks are typically not a big deal, unless they extend to the edge of the rotor. Even as many as you appear to have on yours. Tough call with that pic.

Cool. That's the way mine are. It almost seems like it shoud be the other way. If the vanes faced the front of the car it would force more air into the rotor to cool it off.

The air travels the other way though...sucked in through the rear center of the rotor and expelled out the ends of the vanes.
