87' 944na has 4k+ rpm miss, black smoke out of exhaust
What do you guys think, the car is an 87' 944na and has had a good miss when accelerating above 4k rpm. Lately the miss has gotten a little worse and happens in the lower rpm's now also. I noticed today when driving it that lots of black smoke comes out of the exhaust during acceleration above 4k rpm. I tried switching out the AFM just since it was easy, but nothing changed.
BTW- It has brand new spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.

make sure your plug wires are all on- pull the plugs and see which one is burning different. Could be a bad wire- yes even new- or just not pushed on all the way.

I will pull the plugs tonight and see what they look like. I already pulled off all of the boots and made sure they were pressed down all the way when I put them back on, but still had the miss at higher rpm's.
