Default The red eyes have disappered..

I noticed yesterday that my brake lights no longer come on

After extensive 'list searching and a couple different tricks with the multimeter, I've determined the following:

All the other lights work.
There IS power to the brake light fuse.
The fuse IS good.
There is NO power at the brake light harness ends.
The grounds for the light clusters HAVE been cleaned. (Unless the brake lights have a seperate ground I dont know about?)

So my problem lies between the fuse leads and the brake switch leads, correct? I'm guessing ground but my question is which one? I've got the engine grounds, the grounds in the hatch, and the ones in the drivers footwell.

you know i had this problem a couple times-

1. check the brake switch under the dash on the pedal that + goes through

2. check that your fuse is making good contact- my car had a wire pushed down into the brake light fuse to power up a car phone and i ripped it out. It must have spread the connectors in the fuse panel apart and my fuse was not touching on one side.
