What say you of this 968?
This car has been sitting at the dealer for several months. I'm going to go and look at it on Friday and make an offer around $9,000ish along with a trade in (my '99 4runner $7000 KBB trade in value). I'm aiming to get it for somewhere between 9 and 10k.
Anybody know of this car personally?
Of course if I get it that means I'll be out a truck. I'll probably end up sellnig the 944 and using the money to get an old Cj7 or something..

Forgot to add, dealer asking is $10,900. Mileage is around 80,000ish.
I love white 968's. I think that's what caught me on this car. I'll have to see what it looks like in person, as well as how it looks mechanically.

Refer to my last post. 80k miles on it, dealer has a link to the car fax report on the car and it checks out clean. I'm hoping to talk them down on the price because the car has been sitting on their lot for quite awhile (at least 3 months, I'd bet it's been there longer).

Don't always trust Carfax. Go look at the car yourself. See if you can get a PPI done. You have a 944 so you know most of the key areas to look at. Any idea when the last belt change was done? Also the cam chain tensioner pads on these need replacement.

I'll be sure to ask about cam chain, belt, clutch, and other common wear items when I look at it. That way I'll have a few extra bargaining tools if they don't know.
Reason I haven't jumped on it until now is because for awhile I wasn't really sure if I wanted a 968. Now I've talked myself into it. Only thing is the car dealership is a good hour and a half drive from where I live and I only go up that way once a week for class.
