944FEST dyno shootout! 2008
ok so according to the powers that be, ive been hearing that the dyno will be back at the fest this year. A year or two ago we tryed to have a dyno shootout but none of the competitors showed. Ive dynoed three years in a row now if for anything just to help Dan P pay for the cost of renting the dyno. I propose this year we have a rennlist shootout, at the fest- on the Backstreet Dyno. We could break it up into categories like Turbo most hp, N/A 8v most hp/ N/A16v most hp and Boss Hawg Power Champ or even just have little grudge matches between individuals. If you have the cahones to compete, list your car, its mods and your guess at what your top HP "should" be. Get ahold of Travis when he confirms the dyno and send him your $ ahead of time to confirm your spot. Then we'll see who reins! Ive already secured some trophies for the Fest this year and im sure Travis would set aside three of four for the dyno- unless he's got other plans. Ok i'll start us off....oh and talking smack is a must!

im going to estimate my car at 330rwhp @ 18lbs boost conservatively.
im also guessing that Sam's car is close to mine and that Justin doesnt have a hair on his arze to push that much boost on the dyno!
no matter what happens Sam, Justin and myself are having a little shootout of our own. Should be good for a writeup about the differences between our similar but different mods and turbos. I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out.

i predict the rock will get stopped at the toll road, run it and get pulled over and arrested. If he makes it to the fest his car will dyno at 114rwhp.

My car will be ready to go this year wearing Kevin's super 61, so your 330 may need some more steam Danno. There is a rumor that there may be this crazy 968 turbo ready to play by then, though.

Id guess Dan is pretty close at ~330ish/18psi which is prob what I would see as well. Ill turn the boost up a bit to 20 and see what she does. Id like to see 350rwhp.

The old gal is going to have to pass a compression test first! How about a category for best sounding turbo on the dyno

I paid last year but couldn't make it but, I'M IN THIS YEAR! (depending on the date of course)..

Ok I will play. I am going to say 325rwhp. Let me get her tuned in and we could see about 340ish I hope.
