At least it’s different…
I don't like how it has been done but I suppose that if done right it would be pretty fast and not much heavier. Also the motor can be modified like crazy.

I just read the thread in the ad and...
Are all other forums like that? Renny is freakin' amazing compared to every other site I've ever looked at.

That toy engine will outlast at least twenty 944 motors and it's more powerfull and I like it better than a pos ls1 swap.

If Lart is being serious, then I actually agree. This was not an easy swap, and is completely different, he fabbed up his own motor mounts, cross member, adaptor plate etc. I give the guy mad props. He can make serious power with some minor bolt ons, a substantial amount higher than we can with our motors, and he didn't resort to just throwing an LS1 in there. This is an ultimate sleeper car.

Why would you do this with a clapped out n/a chassis?

Probably not well versed in the difference between a N/A and 951 chassis.

Great idea poorly executed. With more time, money, 951 chassis, and a little more thought out, this could be a pretty potent package.

one of the upsides with this swap is if he wants to push the power up most people know that a supra motor can push 600HP pretty much internally stock.

I think they are the same chasis(944/951). you can buy 951/968 suspension/brakes for $1500 or less... or just jump far beyond the stock 951/968 with a custom suspension/brakes for a bit of money.

edit: for less than $800 - (http://mall.rennlist.com/scripts/fea...uery=retrieval)

My oldest boy is doing a swap similar to that, except that is in a Supra

Here is my son's car.

He is expecting 450rwhp @ less than 18psi, I had to crank my boost to 21 to get 375rwhp in my 951.

I think the idea is great and that he actually accomplished it is fantastic! Much respect! But it should be in a 951 chassis no question.

Why is an LSx engine considered "resorting"? It's not like it's easy or anything!

Supra is the epitome of riceness and reminds me of Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Sorry but I prefer the VW engine in my 944 instead.

+9999. Now he's a driver with the soul of ricer and a Porsche badge on the nose of his car. Recipe for disaster?
