Default Ebay 944, says it has 996 cylinders and pistions?!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...em140210688550

What do you guys think of this? Says in the auction that it has 996 cylinders and pistons...think it's a typo? Car looks fairly nice, don't know about the rear wing tho...

looks like a gen 2 rx7 lol. it looks pretty fugly to me.

I don't really trust adds.

I remember reading an add last week for a porsche 928 on craiglist that said " replaced turbo" and it showed a engine pic and there was no turbo lol.

Wow I actually like the car minus the wing and the graphics. It looks like a lot of money went into it.. but I really don't want to admit it

Agreed. Someone sunk a small fortune into that beast.

Buy it, respray in black or red, find a more tasteful rear wing... it'd look great. Not really all that Porsche-like... but still good IMHO.

The engine work looks like no-expense-spared, and it's obviously featured on a swedish site - gatbilar.se.

Digging, digging...

Here! http://gatbilar.se/car.php?car=8076

Now, who speaks swedish?

"translated" version provides little extra...

I found these numbers online:
996 Twin Turbo
bore - 100.0mm
stroke - 76.4mm

944 Turbo 2.5L
bore - 100.0mm
stoke - 78.9mm

Sounds feasible...

The wall length could be the back breaker on that though. The 944 turbo's stroke is more than 2mil longer. Not to say the sleeves are according lengths.

Why the hell would anyone dump money on 996 pistons when aftermarket sleeves and pistons are cheaper, and better suited for the 8v engine in their shape?

What a nasty ricer car! Lart will love this one. It just gives the 928 guys a nice piece of ammo for the next battle.
