Default The last factory bolts...have been removed.

Well ive finally removed the last of the factory bolts that i have not yet touched i think on this car. Tonite i removed my factory 57k trans and its ready to ship to its new owner in Cali. Tomorrow i trek to Columbus 100miles north to pick up my LSD trans from Kasturbo's car that was wrecked. This thing was obviously never removed and it showed. Bolts were stubborn has heck and even broke off the bolt that holds the linkage on, requiring a nut to be welded on to remove it. Luckily i have some spare ones laying around here.

The last factory bolts...holy hell. Might make a nice selling point if (god forbid) that time should come. Who was the supplier for said hardware?

well i mean i removed them- i'll be putting that back in w/ the new trans- but it was the last of the many bolts that i had not taken out of this car at one time or another. Pretty much everything else has been take apart, fixed, rebuilt or removed at one time or another. Just realized tonite that i had never had the trans out. Trippy.

If you've never had the trans out, then have you changed the clutch? With the engine out? Just trying to think of other bolts you haven't touched .

bahh- you guys. I had the motor out twice so far- first time was to change the clutch. Actually ive had the trans loose to chance the upper mount and i put new axels in, but never pulled it. Not much i havent pulled- gas tank is one i guess.

You pull the dashboard out yet? Or front bodywork/fenders?

Made the trip to Columbus this morning and brought back my LSD trans. Got home and put it up in there. Didnt get to drive it yet due to the snow but hopefully its 60 on monday like they are predicting so i can take it around the block- maybe up to the alignment shop again tuesday.

Have you pulled the torque tube out? Just wondering because it seems like something you'd paint and make fancy looking if you did.

(I have a feeling I may be doing that soon... )

not all the way out but its been moved around plenty. I thought about painting it but this is less show and more go. I figure some day i'll get bored and rip the car apart and paint/plate/polish and PC everything on the car and make it a "concours" custom car.
