How did this guy fit Fuchs on this late offset 944 ???

If you look at the lip on the wheels, they have to be pretty thiin wheels. Also if you look at this pic (http://autolivery.com/assets/cars/KN450888-16sm.jpg), you'll see they stick way out and I'm sure rub to some extent.

Yeah I see that now. I wish some aftermarket company like Euromeister would make a late offset fuch.

You can fit early offset wheels on a late offset 944/968 as long as the wheels & tires are narrow enough to clear the fenders - if it's 88/89+ 944/968 then the rear fenders will be rolled giving even more clearance.

I fit early 951 phone dials (7x17 and 8x16) on my 968:


The fronts rub a bit under full lock, and the rears would rub if I had a softer/stock rear suspension. (but I have a stiff rear so it's not a prblm.)

Wait so your running 16x8's in the back and 17x7's in the front, or those are the size of the early 951 phonies?
I know I have seen the pics before but... MOAR!!!

Could'nt you have the back side of the wheel mating surface milled down 10 or 15mm?
