Lindsey fuel line kit is about 625.00 and to install will be two or three hundred at a shop. Here is the link. http://www.lindseyracing.com/mm5/mer...FUELRAILBILLET
As a mater of fact just check out the site because you could buy alot of things from them for 1000.00 and it willl make your car last.
The other option is to get the lindsey cross member done. It is a dull idea but let me tell you if you ever need to get to the underside of the engine having this cross member takes a 12 hour job down to 3 hours so it will pay for it self in the first service. I have one an I love it let alone my mec loves it too.

Thanks to everybody. I'm not a racer or into "pimping" my ride. I'm into vintage and quality things. I love this site.....gave me a lot of ideas. I remember reading a review on a 944 before I bought one. It said one of the most rewarding things of ownership was how he really learned about the inner workings of automobiles. I have to agree. Quite frankly...never owned a car I wanted to learn more about.

Oil pan gasket, rod bearings, motor mounts, PS reseal, PS hose, PS cap o-ring, AOS o-rings, balance shaft reseal. Make that engine stop leaking! To take it one further, replace all the front suspension bushings and strut mounts - it will make a notable improvement to the ride sharpness. If there's enough money left, use it on GAS. 76k miles?? Drive it more! That's what I'd do with a grand.
OK that's not true. With a grand, I'd buy new wheels and tires, but you said you don't want wheels.

LOL - you must have a really tight and tidy car. When shopping for hookers, the utility of the 2 tiny rear seats suddenly becomes clear.
Some other things to consider: How's your torque tube? Is it making that typical rumbling noise? European bumpers? E-code headlights, to get some proper light output? Replace your heater control valve - those always break, and dump corrosive coolant all over the clutch disk.
Good luck

I think a good feel good would be
1) Heater Control Valve
2) Vacuum Lines -> Silicone
3) Fuel Lines ->Steel
Where is (are) the best place to buy this stuff? I want for MEEEE now. =)

If your struts and shocks are new, and you have good, recent tires, spend some money on a 4 wheel alignment and a corner balance. Then have it professional detailed (or get a porter cable buffer, pads, compound, etc. and do it yourself).
Sounds like this car is your daily driver - and anything you can do to get the best ride quality and visual appeal will be money well spent.

anybody know if the Lindsey braided fuel line kit would work on a 924S? The hard lines on my car come up next to the vacuum booster for the brake master cylinder. Or, if anybody has a DIY for how to get the AN-style fittings on to the hard lines, I think that I could probably sort out the rest (I have a fair bit of experience in making/installing AN braided lines, but not on my Porsche)
Thanks
